sweetdreams   by sweetdreams Posted: 23/10/2008 18:05
well, i have had afew people say that i should go into modelling, lingerie and glamour, never thought i had the right size for it but since it was suggested by so many i thought why not give it a go, see where it leads. unfortunately it leads to people that are very odd. some are ok, some sound pretty professional and have studio's and everythig but some, seem to have the wrong idea of what i want to do. some are making pretty rude proposals and offering me money to do more than just pictures, and while i would like to get into moddeling and see where i get with it i am certainly not about to become some sort of prostitute. even if the money offered is good, its not me! maybe i was wrong about the modelling tihng. maybe i went about it the wrong way or gave the wrong impression but i dont think im gonna persue it much longer. i dont know. its all a bit full on for me i suppose...... xx

speak to some of the other girls on here that have had pro shoots with reputable togs who only go as far as you want to, don't give up as i think you definitely have a future in modelling

be careful, but not all togs are bad, im not and i have my own studio... take a friend to any shoot, leave phone numbers and contact details, ask to see previous work, make sure you know what levels you are comfey working to and stick to them, don't be bullied into doing something your not happy about.
It's a tough business, but it can be fun and you can make money, but just make sure that you stick to your guns.....if you want any advice, hints or help just pm me...
and yes you do have a figure that could sell lingerie..:)

trustworthy photographers won't mind you taking friends or family with you, nor will they mind that you request references from people who have worked with them in the past (in fact some might offer other names of those they have worked with to give testimonials)

I agree, ask girls who've had work done professionally, like Kim Acourt or Tina Brophy and Hayley Coates, Hayley Allen (all of whom are on here)

a good model oriented forum is www.x-site.co.uk, its free to register and some of the people on there have worked alongside promoting some of the tops in this country. On there you would find a lot of good advice and some good photographers too.

One name I can vouch for on here as a reputable photographer is a profile "monsignor photography" (guy's name is Paul Carroll)

hey hey, i suggest you register on sites such as www.purestorm.com and modelmayhem.com , they're free and allow you to upload pictures etc and have lots of photographers on there which also have their portfolios on so you can check out their references and who they've worked with etc =) i personally prefer purestorm.

but yeah, you jsut gotta be careful and if u feel uncomfortable going to a shoot, always let someone know where you are etc or take a friend with you =) xx

Sound advice here.

I agree take a friend, or family to any shoot, leave phone numbers and contact details, ask to see previous work and referals.
Speaking to some of the other girls on here that have had pro shoots with reputable togs is also a good idea.
I agree with Boid register with respectable sites like the one she's mentioned. Which are for people in the trade.

Any respectable tog, studio, or agency wont mind you double checking their credentials, or bringing a friend, or relative.
It's in their interests to put you at ease.

At the end of the day you have to stay in your comfort zone.

xx
